Canary Hotel Rooftop Wedding Reception, Santa Barbara California.

Chynna and Chris had the most amazing intimate wedding in Santa Barbara this summer and it was an absolute blast to be there to photograph it! They got ready at the Canary Hotel, which is also where there reception was held! As soon as I got to Chynna’s room I knew this day was going to be a really really good one. She was just literally the most happy, smiley bride I’ve ever seen and it was kind of impossible to NOT immediately be super happy and excited too!

Chynna wore her grandmother’s earrings and Chris wore socks with their puppy Maddie’s face on them because she couldn’t be apart of the wedding. How sweet?? I love even the seemingly small details from wedding days because there’s usually a special reason behind them and being able to include those photos in the final gallery really add to the story they tell from the day!

After getting ready, we took a fun trolley ride to the Santa Barbara Courthouse where Chynna and Chris had their first look before the ceremony which took place outside on the Fiesta Stage near the gardens. The palm trees up against the Spanish style architecture of the courthouse made for a beautiful backdrop while the couple said their vows in front of their closest friends and families. One thing I learned during the ceremony was that Chynna’s middle name is Faith and Chris’s middle name is Love - how cool! Chris’s dad, who officiated the wedding, of course made a joke about their future child being named Hope haha

Post-ceremony, we snuck away to take some portraits at the Hotel Californian and a nearby beach before heading to the reception, which was on the rooftop of the Canary Hotel. There was an amazing sunset and the view was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I still can’t believe how perfect literally every part of their day was!
